Hull Bloggers Meet

Yesterday was the Hull Bloggers Meet, the first one I've ever been to. Over 112 brands were involved in the event providing demonstrations and FREEBIES. 5 bags full of freebies later, I hobbled to the car and drove home to unpack all of this amazing stuff!!! Can we just take a moment to look at the sheer quantity of products and items that I received. All 30 of the bloggers received 5 bags of freebies. As you can guess, there are some product reviews coming your way. I think i'm going to select products that I love the most and do a haul video. I've started using some products already reviews are coming very soon. For now i'm swooning over everything in this image. Many thanks to the organisers of the event, so much time and effort went into this!

Lydia Models Catimini

This is a guest post featuring Lydia Mary Hird aged 7.

"This is me wearing Catimini’s Summer Floral Dress, I’ve had it for a year but I love it. I like to wear my hair all to one side with this dress. Today I am going to the Humber Bridge for a day out.

Hope you like my pictures and dress.

The Beach Star Ibiza Review

This summer I’ve visited the beautiful island of Ibiza twice. I must admit I’ve fallen in love with it even more than the first time I went. On my second trip to Ibiza with my best friend I stayed at the Beach Star Ibiza Hotel. I had such a great stay at the hotel that I knew I just had to write a review about my experience. Whilst in Ibiza we had planned to party a few nights but also aimed to relax. This hotel could not be more perfect for both partying and relaxing. The Beach Star is newly rebranded and refurbished for 2015. We literally fell in love with the hotel and everything it had to offer.

The location of the hotel is in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, which is around a 10 minute taxi ride to the main west end strip of Ibiza. This meant that our hotel was just close enough to the nightlife, but still far enough away to get a good nights sleep. The rooms were amazing, offering an apartment feel and beautiful d├ęcor, clean and well maintained. All staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful and ensured they did everything they could to make our stay perfect.

The pool area featured areas to relax, sunbathe, lounge in the pool, or have waiters bring you cocktails and food, what more do you want? My favorite section of the pool area was the Bali Beds picture above, free on a first come first serve basis, we managed to secure a bed almost everyday. They were so nice to lay on all day and soak up the sun. The Beach Star has its very own DJ playing music around the pool all day, fab.

This was our room which had dining & kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom.

I would highly recommend the Beach Star Ibiza Hotel to anyone!
Many celebrities were visiting this hotel this summer. If I go to Ibiza again i'll definitely be booking here again!

Last minute deal? Planning for next summer?
The Beach Star Ibiza has it covered.

You can book this hotel directly from their website here.
and for some more pictures and updates of the hotel follow their instagram here.

10 top tips for a learner nanny

Earlier this year I quit my job to focus on my second year of university. That decision paid off and I gained a 2:1 much to my surprise. During the summer I needed a job and I became a part-time Nanny for two children. These children are in-fact my cousins. Lydia Mary Hird, 7 and William Robert Hird, 5. So I have had the task of entertaining two children roughly two days a week. I've loved every minute of having them with me! Its been great to earn some money whilst doing something that I love. I've learnt a few things along the way, and have decided to include my 10 ten tops for being a learner nanny!

1. If children can avoid getting a bath or shower, they will.
2. Children will argue over the front seat of the car like its gold.
3. Children cannot decide what to eat for lunch in under 10 minutes.
4. Bring wet wipes and plastic bags everywhere, vomit is likely.
5. You will be judged on your ability to braid hair and play football in sandals.
6. Sibling rivalry is a really serious thing, something only children just don't understand.
7. Children can make you cry with happiness and despair in the same hour.
8. Parks are the best thing since slided bread but flip flops are a danger hazard.
9. Nannying is the best form of contraception and will reaffirm that you're not quite as ready for motherhood as you thought.
10. Wearing trainers, a back pack and riding a micro scooter usually makes you the 'coolest nanny ever'.

Braids, if you can't you better learn.

Do you have any tips for me?
