Sure Crystal Deodorants Review

I like to find a deodorant that smells nice and always works. Once i've found a brand that I like, I tend to buy a few different scents from the same company. I would recommend sure deodorant to anyone. My favourite from the three I have selected for this review is Sure Clear Diamond. I think that this is possibly the nicest smelling deodorant I have ever used. I do like the Sure Clear Aqua for everyday use, but the Clear Diamond smell is so unique and refreshing. My mum actually prefers the Clear Pure because of the scent.

I know that this product will not let me down, even during running or gym sessions. I cannot recommend Sure Women deodorant enough.

Do you have a go to deodrant??

Tips for Hair Growth and Maintaining Long Healthy Hair

From a young age I have had my heart set on achieving long, dark strong and healthy hair. My hair grows particularly fast and is thick which works in my favour towards the hairstyle I would like to achieve. I get my hair trimmed regularly around every six to eight weeks. I love having long hair but maintaining its condition and styling it everyday is hard work. I really dislike how long it takes me to blow dry my hair, its so time consuming but nothing can compare to the finished look. So I have gathered just a few tips to help you on your quest of long and healthy hair!

I recommend that you...

Have regular hair cuts / trims
Having repeat appointments within a certain amount of time encourages the hair to grow from the follicle maximising length and quality.

Find a brilliant hairdresser and never let them go
I will admit that my hairdresser is a women I should thank continually for her wealth of knowledge and guidance over the years. Finding a hairdresser you can be honest with to achieve the look you want is also a key aspect to your dream hair. Debbie my hairdresser of Debonhair Beverley is amazing. She always helps me to get the look I want but informs me of the advantages and what will suit my face and body shape.

Keep colouring to a minimum
I have only ever had one full hair colour, and two sessions of a dip dye in my whole life. I do believe that this is the key to the level of growth that occurs. I haven't damaged my hair to the point of it not growing anymore. Some of my friends hair's just don't grow at all due to repeat colour damage.

Don't wear extensions
Clip in hair extensions damage your scalp. I used to wear them in secondary school. They were more of a thickening tool than lengthening tool but they still weren't good for my hair. Its strange to think that pretending you have long hair with extensions actually hinders your natural hair from growing. Trying a thickening spray as an alternative. Plus looking back at my hair with extensions it just looked fake and didn't suit me personally.

Avoid heat styling as much as possible
I must admit that 50% of the time I do not use heat to dry or style my hair. I let it dry naturally if i'm not leaving the house or try to mastle a style without heat such as gripping hair into curls and letting them sit in that position without heat. Not leaving the house today? Give your hair a break. After every wash you should be applying a heat protection if you plan to use any form of heat. For this I recommend Kerastase Ciment Thermique which can be applied to wet hair with your fingers.

Wash your hair regularly
This sounds strange but your hair knows when you should be washing it. Your scalp builds up a pattern of how many days you go in between washes and therefore produces the correct amount of (for want of a better word) grease/oil. I tend to wash my hair every other day. Which I know is bad for my hair but I just cannot cope with hair that isn't freshly washed and smelling beautiful.

Don't do the towel twist
Don't put your hair up twisted into a towel after washing it. This stretches the hair and can cause breakage and split end damage.

Give your hair adequate hydration
I use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Mask once a week on the lengths and ends to encourage the water to be hydrated and shiny. By preventing the hair from becoming too dry you are enabling the hair to be stronger and this reduces the risk of breakage.

Most of all Embrace your natural style and colour
I have realised that to gain the length and quality of the hair I want then I need to keep it as natural as possible. Look back at pictures from when you were younger and what your hair was like without heat and styling. Try to embrace the colour of your hair. I love how dark mine is and the depth is has.

Blanx White Shock Intensive Whitening Treatment Review

If you have read my blog for while you may have seen plenty of posts about my never ending love for Blanx toothpaste. I was in the top 10 for the Face of Blanx Toothpaste 2012, you can read a post about that here and here. You can also read about the years supply of the toothpaste that I was sent back in 2012 here.

So after running out of my free years supply, I went back to normal toothpaste, but i'm really disappointed with the colour of my teeth and I wish I had just continued to use Blanx. I went to Boots the other day and bought this with the hope of reviving my white teeth from a few years ago. After two weeks of using this product I can happily say that it is definitely working and my teeth were looking whiter from the first session! I've never had my teeth professionally whitened as i'm frightened that they will become sensitive. Blanx has never made my teeth sensitive even after a full year of using the product twice daily. This is why I have looked again at a Blanx product in order to whiten my teeth. I know the products work, and I trust the brand.

The product comes with Blanx White Shock toothpaste and the LED light. The toothpaste can be repurchased in 75ml bottles for £3.33 (here) separately and the light is then reusable.

In order to begin whitening I use the toothpaste to brush my teeth as I would normally for at least two minutes. I then take a very small amount of the toothpaste and spread it along the LED light. I then place the light in my mouth so that it sits shining directly onto the teeth. The process of whitening is painless and easy! The fresh feeling you get after is nice aswell.

Honestly if you are looking to whiten your teeth choose this brand. Italians really know their toothpaste.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking to achieve white teeth quickly!

Bobbi Brown Review

My makeup collection is ever changing, and rarely stays the same for a long period of time. I am forever adjusting it to suit my skin tone. I get a tan quite easily in summer due to my dad being foreign. The skin on my body changes so quickly from olive to brown therefore I have to get ahead of the seasons and purchase my bronzers/blushers early. In my newest 'get ready with me' video I used NARS Luster as a bronzer, but i've recently been edging away from the shimmery look and more into a matt finish. I have turned to Bobbi Brown for help as my usual summer go to bronzer has been discontinued. I hate it when that happens!!

I felt that the mascara I used prior to this one dried up to quickly and so I opted for Bobbi Brown's perfectly defined mascara whilst shopping in York. I fell in love with this product and will definitely be repurchasing it. It uses a traditional style mascara wand/spooly but isn't cloggy or lumpy. A main factor for me is the removal of the product. If it smudges all under my eyes and down my face then i'm really put off. But this mascara is really easy to remove and can even be steamed off with a hot flannel.

Again with the every changing makeup, I have decided to grow my eyebrows out. I'm sure I will do a post about that at some point in the near future when I have reached a camera acceptable stage! In the mean time I am filling them in very lightly in the areas that need more growth. I am using a Topshop eyebrow brush although I should probably invest in something more structured to offer a better line. I need to work on how to form the line correctly without looking silly! Hopefully I will get the hang of it soon. Drawing or colouring eyebrows has never really been my thing but everyone looks nice with healthy grown and preened eyebrows I thought I better at least make an attempt to sort mine out once and for all.

Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Mascara £12.00 York Outlet
Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder Golden Light £27.00 York Browns
Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow/Eyebrow Shadow Saddle £17.00

I would recommend all three of these products. I think that the prices are reasonable and the products are worth the money. All reviews are honest and of my own personal opinion.
Do you use Bobbi Brown?
Can you recommend an eyebrow brush for filling?

Review: Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Mobile Speaker II

Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Mobile Speaker II £249.00 via York Designer Outlet

I needed a new speaker for my bedroom and loft/lounge area and my dad recommended Bose. I looked online at Bose speakers. I wanted something I could easily take from one room to another (shower singing is compulsory) and I also wanted to be able to take it outside in the summer for BBQ's. I then visited York Designer Outlet and went to the Bose shop to look at their range. I found that this speaker was completely wireless when in use. It has a charging unit which I use every few weeks. The charge lasts for around 8 hours. The speaker comes with the leather case already around it which doubles as a stand for the speaker as shown in the second image. The cover then flips back to the front of the speaker to protect it (a leather sleek design).

The speaker connects to my iphone wirelessly and also has an aux port should I wish to play music from a non bluetooth device. I cannot recommend this speaker enough. I use it everyday without fail and the battery life is great. Its a beautiful piece of kit to look at due to its sleek design. My dad has a Bose surround system which produces excellent quality sound. I was sceptical as to whether the speaker would produce a high quality sound. I don't think I can compare it to any speaker that I have previously owned. The quality of sound is almost slightly unreal due to the size of the speaker. I find myself thinking 'how can such a quality sound come from such a small unit?'. For me the fact that I can connect my iphone once and then only ever have to press one button to turn on and off is brilliant. I know that some speakers you have to connect your phone each time. This speaker does everything for you automatically which makes it so simple to use. I also like how I can adjust the track and volume directly from my iphone, can it get any better?! If you are thinking of buying a speaker then I highly recommend the Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Mobile Speaker II. I am aware that bose have just released and new version of this speaker. Maybe i'll upgrade in a few years but for now this product does an amazing job!

I am also planning a review of the QuietComfort 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones at a later date.

Primark Haul

Today my mum dragged me from under a pile of books to go shopping (not literally). This is just a small collection of the items I bought from Primark today. I really dislike this time of the year between winter and spring because i'm stuck between the 'coats and boots' and the 'blazers and pumps'. If I wear a coat i'm really warm and if I wear a blazer i'm really cold. So today I have been looking for a coat/blazer which is warm enough to wear during the cold with a scarf and still cool enough for when theres a little sun. I found this cream one shown above which i'm in love with. However I am slightly worried about the washing side of it with the colour being so light but it does say machine washable, but we'll see how that pans out later on in the year when the foundation covered collar needs a wash!

I bought a few coloured vest which will pair well with black jeans and this coat/blazer (clazer).
These sunglasses that I can throw in my car for the sunny morning drive to college.
These sandal/shoes which can be my transition shoe from boot to sandal.
These chubby stick and lip stain dupes super cheap and cheerful.
This bag which I need for college for my big annoying and heavy finance books with built in ipad case.

Absolutely love primark, so affordable. Ok it's not suitable for ALL clothing but a few bits and bobs here and there!

Clazer (lol) £25.00
Sun Glasses £2.00
Tops £3.00
Sandals £14.00
Chubby Sticks / Lip Stains £1.50
Bag £9.00
